Primary Nursing Care...
At Ellen Memorial Health Care Center we have developed our own primary nursing care model. This model provides consistency and familiarity for our patients and residents.
This approach enables our nursing staff to:
• Care for the same residents everyday, so they get to know them on a personal level
• Become familiar with the needs and preferences of each resident
• Be better prepared and alerted if a resident has a sudden change in health or mental status
• Communicate more efficiently with the resident's primary care physician
• Provide better communication and understanding with the resident's family
